„Über den Fetischcharakter in der Musik und die Regression des Hörens“ is a music theater piece that combines arias by Verdi, Italian pop songs from the 60s and a lecture performance: Adorno’s critical text is the starting point of a discursive evening with the theatre collective copy & waste. The Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop designs versatile and inclined planes in order to listen to possible echoes and meanings of the text and at the same time drown it out with several musical forms – a melodrama evolves, in which Adorno’s renowned essay on “serious and pop music” itself seems to become music.
In Untitled violist Yodfat Miron of Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop and dance and choreographer Alix Einaudy devote themselves to a new view on the relationship of body and music – an experiment with an open outcome.
